Identified as Having Personal Information at Issue in the Data Incident, You Are Eligible to Receive a Settlement Class Member Benefit from a Class Action Settlement<hr><ul><li style="text-align:justify;">A Court authorized this Website to those that are eligible to receive Settlement Class Member Benefits from a proposed $1,350,000 class action Settlement. The Action is titled Gwendolyn Riddick v. Medstar Health, Inc.,&nbsp;Case No. 1:24-cv-01335, and is pending in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. The people that filed the class action lawsuit are called Plaintiffs or Settlement Class Representatives, and the company they sued is MedStar Health, Inc. (“Defendant”). Defendant denies any wrongdoing whatsoever and the Court has not ruled that Defendant did anything wrong. &nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Who is a Settlement Class Member?</li></ul>All persons residing in the United States whom Defendant identified as having Personal Information at issue in the Data Incident. Excluded from the Settlement Class are (a) all Settlement Class Members who timely and validly request exclusion from the Settlement Class; (b) all persons who are directors or officers of Defendant; (c) governmental entities; (d) the Judge assigned to the Action, that Judge’s immediate family, and Court staff; and (e) any person found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be guilty under criminal law of initiating, causing, aiding or abetting the criminal activity occurrence of the Data Incident or who pleads nolo contendere to any such charge.<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Settlement Class Members under the Settlement Agreement will be eligible to receive: &nbsp;<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Cash Payment A – Documented Losses:&nbsp;Settlement Class Members may submit a Claim for a Cash Payment for up to&nbsp;$5,000 per Settlement Class Member that had documented losses related to the Data Incident, upon submission of a Valid Claim and&nbsp;supporting documentation;&nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Cash Payment B – Alternate Cash Payment: As an alternative to Cash Payment A – Documented Losses above, a Settlement Class Member may elect to receive Cash Payment B – Alternate Cash Payment, which is a Cash Payment in the estimated amount of $100&nbsp;subject to a pro rata (proportional) adjustment depending on the number and type of Valid Claims.&nbsp; &nbsp;</li></ul></li></ul>Cash Payments will be subject to a pro rata (proportional) increase in the event the approved dollar amount of the Valid Claims, combined with the Settlement Administration Costs, the cost of Medical Data Monitoring, and Court-approved attorneys’ fees, costs, and Service Awards are insufficient to exhaust the entire Settlement Fund. Similarly, in the event the approved dollar amount of the Valid Claims, combined with the Settlement Administration Costs, the cost of Medical Data Monitoring, and Court-approved attorneys’ fees, costs, and Service Awards exhausts the amount of the Settlement Fund, the amount of the Cash Payments will be reduced pro rata&nbsp;(proportionally). &nbsp;In addition to a Cash Payment, Settlement Class Members may also elect the following:<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Medical Data Monitoring –&nbsp;Settlement Class Members may elect one (1) year of CyEx’s Medical Shield Complete to monitor medical and healthcare data.</li></ul>You may submit a Claim on this website or for more information visit the FAQs page or call&nbsp; (833) 890-5637&nbsp;to request a Claim Form no later than Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
